EnglandxReader- We're Idiots

You slammed the door behind you as you stormed into your dorm room that you shared with your best friend, Elizabeta, and you flopped down onto your bed. Elizabeta looked at you from the desk where she was studying for a biology test.

“Um, _________, what’s wrong?”

“That british idiot!” You shouted into your pillow. Elizabeta sighed sadly. You and your boyfriend, Arthur, had been fighting for a few weeks now.

“What happened?”

“He broke up with me.” You said into the pillow, but this time your voice didn’t have the same anger in it. You were glad that the pillow hid your tears. You felt your phone buzz in your pocket and you sat up and pulled it out. The text was from Arthur. You tossed it across the room, not caring if it broke or not. Elizabeta walked over to it and picked it up.

“It’s from Arthur,” she said, showing you the screen. You flopped back down on your stomach and buried your face in the pillow again.

“I don’t want to see it.”

“He wants to know if you’re alright.” Elizabeta said. You jumped off your bed and were across the room in a matter of seconds, snatching the phone from her and jamming down on the buttons.

No you ass of course I’m not alright so leave me alone! You smashed out, and hit the send button. You quickly typed out another text. And don’t bother to text back! Or call! You sent that text as well, than threw the undeserving phone across the room again and flopped back down onto your bed. Elizabeta knew better than to say anything to you so she just sat there.

Kiku was patting Arthur on his back awkwardly.

“There there Arthur-san. It will be arright.” He said, not sure really of what else to do.

“No it won’t be Kiku. I broke up with her.” Arthur replied in a muffled voice. Alfred smashed the door open with three McDonald bags in his hands. He always hung out in Kiku and Arthur’s dorm, even though he shared a room with his twin brother Matthew.

“Yo! Kiku! What’s up with Artie?” He asked, but it sounded more like “Yf! Kefu! Whagf uhfg witgh Ar-fie?” because his mouth was stuffed full with hamburger.

“He broke up with _________-san.” Kiku explained. Alfred swallowed the burger that was in his mouth.

“Whoa dude! Hey Artie, you okay?” Alfred said, clearly surprised by the news. Arthur snapped his head up and turned to look at him.

“Does it look like I’m okay to you, you ass-hat!” He snapped, than buried his head in his pillow again.

“No,” Alfred said, than shoved a couple of fries in his mouth. Kiku quickly shushed Alfred, than went back to patting Arthur on the back.

You plunked your tray down at the table where you ate lunch with your friends. You gulped as you faced your friends. They all had concerned looks on their faces, but the only who couldn’t meet your gaze was Arthur. He was sitting as far away from you as the table would allow. You resolved not to look Arthur either, and quickly turned your head away from him.

A few minutes of awkward silence followed. Usually you’re joking around with your friends, but today, there was silence. You realize that Alfred must have told everyone else about your and Arthur’s break-up.

“__________-san, are you okay?” Kiku asked. You nodded, still not looking at Arthur.

“I’m fine Kiku.” You said, even though that wasn’t true. He nodded and some quiet conversation started. Mostly about morning lectures and other stuff that on around campus. You steadfastly ignored Arthur, who ignored you right back.

Pretty soon Kiku, Alfred and Elizabeta had to go for a lecture they had soon. Lovino began yelling at Ludwig and Antonio while Feliciano tried to calm him down. Francis kept on trying to ask Arthur if he was okay, but Arthur was ignoring him. You mixed the food on your plate together, than pushed it away. You weren’t hungry.

“Guys, we have to get _______ and Arthur back together. Arthur is acting all mopey, even though he broke it up with her.” Alfred said, being unusually serious. “Yesterday I spilled ketchup all over the floor of his room and he didn’t yell at me! He didn’t even seem to care!” Elizabeta nodded.

“I agree with Alfred. We need to get those two back together.” She said. Kiku pulled on both of their sleeves.

“In fact, I have a pran...” he said, and small smile appearing on his face.

~*LE MORE AWESOME TIMESKIP*~

You walked over to the fountain where Elizabeta had said she’d meet you. She needed the notes for one of her afternoon lectures which she had forgotten about. You sat down on the edge of the fountain, waiting for Elizabeta. Little did you know she was already there,  just not where you could see her.

She crouched in the bushes next to the fountain, along with Alfred and Kiku.

“Al, did you send the text to Arthur?” Elizabeta quietly asked Alfred.

“You bet I did!” Alfred said in a whisper.

“Hush Arfred-san, ______ may here you.” Kiku warned in a hushed voice. Alfred grabbed Kiku’s arm (much to his unhappiness) and pointed.

“There’s Arthur! There’s Arthur!” He whispered as loud as he could.

“Arfred-san, prease ret go of me.” Kiku said quietly, but Alfred was to excited. Arthur walked up behind you.

“________? What are you doing here?” He asked. You jumped a little. You looked back at him.

“Eli needed my lecture notes. Why are you here?” You asked him back in an accusing tone.

“Alfred said he had something important he needed to show me.” Arthur said, sitting near you on the fountain. You turned away from him. Continuing to blank him as best you could.

“__________, are you okay?” Arthur asked, concern in his voice.

“I’m fine,” you replied gruffly, determined not to let anymore tears fall. You two just sat there on the bench.

From inside the bushes there was a lot of whispering.

“Dude, why aren’t they talking?” Alfred asked, still hanging on stubbornly to Kiku’s arm.

“To much awkward tension.” Kiku said, finally managing to free his arm from Alfred’s grasp. “We shourd’ve waited a few more days.” He continued.

“This is bad. We need to do something.” Elizabeta said, distressed about this turn of events. Alfred grinned, a sly look coming onto his face.

“I have an idea,” he said. He whispered something in Elizabeta’s ear, who grinned.

You placed your bag on the ground in front of you, like Arthur had. You could feel the tension in the air. You were about to text Elizabeta when suddenly, her and Alfred erupted from the bushes. Elizabeta shoved you in the chest and you fell into the fountain. Another splash and a string of curses told you that Arthur had suffered the same fate.

“What was that for?” You snapped at Elizabeta and Alfred, who were standing outside the fountain. You were spitting water out of your mouth and you were soaking wet.

“YOU’RE BOTH IDIOTS!” Her and Alfred shouted in unison, before storming away towards the bushes.

“Hey Art, what do they mean by we’re bo-” you began asking, forgetting you were supposed to be blanking him, when you were cut off as Arthur started kissing you. You sat there for a minute in shock, than began kissing him back. After a minute you both broke apart.

“________, I never stopped loving you. I still love you and I will always love you.” You grinned, and pressed your forehead against his.

“I love you too my british idiot.” You said softly. He laughed.

“Now let’s get out of the fountain. Everyone else is staring.” Arthur said, standing up and offering you a hand.

“Agreed.” You said laughing a little as you took his hand and he pulled you up.
